Economic Development

We must continue to encourage businesses to locate here by offering financial incentives for new development and for current businesses to expand or remodel. Possible zoning changes, changes to traffic flow and increased marketing so owners can try to grow their business. In addition, rebuilding and expanding roads and water/sewer capacity to assist the business owners.

We must continue to work with the Region, Denton County, and the State of Texas on I35E, also known as Stemmons Frwy and the Purple Heart Trail.

I35E is not only a major asset to the City of Lewisville, but also to the Region, Denton County, the State of Texas and the United States.

Different funding sources need to be kept available for I35E and other major projects so that Lewisville stays a place where peo- ple want to live, work and play.

Neighborhood Revitalization

We must continue to work with Lewisville neighborhoods to assist them by reviewing code compliance, zoning, reworking streets, and upgrading water lines, sewer lines, sidewalks and neighborhood parks.
